About US

We purchased our land in 1993 as a place to camp and get away after witnessing urban sprawl heading our way.

Being raised in the city, it took my wife a while to grow accustomed to the country and its way of life, but she soon grew to love it.

The peace and quiet was such that we decided to built our modest "dream home" a log house.

During walks along an old logging road that followed a ridge overlooking our creek I was reminded of family vacations that we would take during my boyhood to the Appalachians and Ozarks. My profession as a locomotive engineer required long hours away from home and after 27 years I became so disenchanted that I quit and began building custom log homes for others.

Deciding to build rental cabins has brought back many good childhood memories, but the biggest reward is the friends we have made and hearing how much they enjoy it here.

This, in a nutshell is our story. Our log cabins are modern and fully equipped. Please come and visit.
